Participants will practice in Conroe and compete in the Gulf Coast Track Circuit, The Hershey Regional Meet, and the Texas Amatuer Athletic Federation Regional Track Meet. 7th Annual Country Roots Music Festival

The Country Roots Music Festival at Traders Village is two full afternoons of live honky tonk and rockabilly music reminiscent of the hardwood dancehalls and bars of the 1950s and '60s

Admission is free and it's just $3 to park. The music begins at 12:00 noon and runs 'til 4 p.m. on the Cricket Wireless Concert Stage beneath the covered Red Expo, rain or shine. The Country Roots Music Festival will take you back to the roots of "real" Country, with two full afternoons of juke box covers and original tunes reminiscent of the honky tonk days of Ray Price, Hank Williams, Sr., and Patsy Cline.

2008 Big Trout Tournament Series

Texas Marine presents the 2008 Big Trout Tournament Series on Galveston Bay at the Galveston Yacht Club. All proceeds of the tournament go to the Children's Miracle Network to be used for purchasing equipment for pediatric needs, programs for young patients, and grants for those needing specialized car, reserch programs and health education. Montgomery County War Memorial Park Fund Drive

The organization adopted the Park in September 2007 and found that it is in great need of repair because it has not been maintained on a consistent basis since it was dedicated 32 years ago. The goal is to raise $60,000 to renovate the sprinkler system, improve the sidewalks, re-establish the flower beds as well as improve the signage and lighting in The Park.
