Alex has penned the timeless songs “Delta Dawn,” (Tanya Tucker, Helen Reddy, Bette Midler and many more) “Reuben James,” (Kenny Rogers…Kenny recorded 18 of Alex’s songs – 3 on the Gambler album) “Hell and High Water” (T. Graham Brown) as well as several others hits; including “Five Dollar Fine For Whining” which was recorded by the late Chris LeDoux.
He has recently finished his newest CD, “Texas 101” and his book, “Texas 101, What Every Non-Native Needs To Know.” I have taken the liberty of including his single, “End of the Line.” This song features the last recording of famous guitar legend, Reggie Young – his career spanned six decades and hundreds of hits, including, In The Ghetto/Elvis Presley.
